My LiveTrends Thinker Living Air Plant is not handling the pandemic well. He lives on my kitchen window ledge. Usually he looks toward the kitchen. I think he likes observing and thinking about people. He’s been hanging around for over a year now and in that time, he has asked nothing of me except for a little mist of water once a week or so. That’s the kind of plant/decoration I can handle! Plus, I think he’s cute.
But life for my Thinker has been anything but easy. He has been decapitated three times. I have never actually seen him lose his head, but evidently whoever was responsible for the loss wasn’t willing to ‘fess up – three times! There he’d be lying on the floor looking up at me like – what happened!
The world may never know. But lately he isn’t looking good at all. Maybe it’s all the fumes from being glued or epoxied back together. Maybe it’s the toll taken by living with the same three people during a pandemic, I don’t know.
I do know that his hair is a mess despite my misting him. If he doesn’t pull it together soon, I may knock his block off myself. I don’t need the reminder that all of America – or dare I say all of the world – would like a haircut right now. And he should take comfort in the fact that his roots aren’t showing!
Now he’s got me thinking. Is he a thinker or a mocker? I’m not sure, but… Off with his head!

/ April 23, 2020Hi Bonnie, I love plants, but mostly I stick to outdoor in the garden variety. A secret pal gave me a small Christmas cactus which has morphed into a grouping of Christmas cactus, aloe, and peace plant (Dad always had a huge one of those.) Love your blog. So apropos!

/ April 23, 2020As always, it’s good to hear from you, Beta. Bob has tried to get me to have plants in the house, but I don’t like the upkeep indoors. This little guy was about my limit.
